Cake Tasting!

After a great night with my girls (who I love so much!), my mom, Jacquelyn, and I went to Doughmain Bakery today to taste cakes! It was amazing! All of them were delicious of course, and we were really thankful that they had coffee to offer, because we ran out of the door without enough time to make a quick to-go cup.

We decided to pick a marbel cake with buttercream frosting in between the layers. Originally, we thought red velvet would be nice but it wasn't work the extra 80 cents a person.
Anyway, the decorations are going to be so awesome. It's going to be a mixture of the two above (from the knot) only with green leaves, thin branches like the white cake only a little more of them. There's going to be a heart in the middle like the yellow cake, with our monogram KHK, almost like it was carved into a tree :) I'm so excited!

  1. Cake tasting is so fun. Even the hubs wanted to get involved in that part of wedding planning. Also, Buttercream frosting is one of my most favorite things in the world! I love the cake designs you picked out- especially the bottom one, the "tree carving" is so cute!
